ABOUT TARA
Tara Darlington
Tara Darlington is a BIrth Educator, Doula, Yoga Instructor and mother of five beautiful children. China (11) was born in the Royal Women’s Birth Centre, Akira (6) was born by Caesarean Section at RPA and Aasha (4), Ayana (2) and Ilaria (6 months) were all born at her home in the Hills District.
Tara has been featured on 60mins in their “Mother’s Choice” article as well as in the National Geographic Series “Taboo” which explores long-term breastfeeding. In 2006 she made a short documentary with her husband Garfield Darlington, “The Birth of Aasha”, sharing their experience of having a homebirth after a previous caesarean section which was screened at three International Film Festivals including the Baltimore Women’s Film Festival and was recently invited to share her story at a Homebirth Access Sydney (HAS) meeting on VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Caesarean).
She produced a Yoga DVD for pregnancy just weeks before giving birth to the latest addition, Ilaria,
